Laurie was grateful for the few possessions that she'd kept in the realm. None of which she had when she was taken, so it was a surprise to end up with them... Her knitting supplies were the main ones, it was a nice way to keep her hands busy and keep herself alert but calm. So, she knitted at the campfire and was always willing to teach anyone who was willing to learn, or she'd make something for them. Temporary as it would be, disappearing into the next trial.
It wasn't as if she minded making things, how horrible to remake a few scarves every so often.
Today, she'd ended up sitting with Heather Mason. It was a comfort to have another teen, and a friend. She missed her own friends dearly, but she didn't linger on that thought much. She couldn't, emotionally.
It wasn't really often she stayed around people. It was irrational to worry that they'd be killed because of her (since they'd be killed, and revived soon anyway), nonetheless it was a thought that always made her stomach turn and made her shy away from making friends.
Glancing over at Heather, who was lit by the flame of the fire she spoke softly.
"Did you have anything you liked to do? Before all this?" It usually was a sore spot, asking about things before the realm but it wasn't all bad, surely.
She broke eye contact at the question, continuing the yellow-orange hat she'd started working on. The Entity seemed to give her different balls of yarn, sometimes they weren't even the right type of yarn for the needles she had. It was odd to see the polite attempt at giving Laurie some kind of comfort. She had to assume that's what it was, anyway.
